Northwest Telecommunicators Local #5146 represents the 911 dispatchers at Northwest Connecticut Public Safety Communications Center, the State's largest and busiest regional emergency communications center. Our members are responsible for dispatching the following agencies: Ansonia Fire Department, Beacon Hose Company #1, Bethany Fire Department, Bethlehem Volunteer Fire Department, Derby Fire Department, Middlebury Volunteer Fire Department, Oxford Fire Department, Prospect Volunteer Fire Department, Roxbury Volunteer Fire Department, Seymour Fire Department, Waterbury Fire Department, Woodbury Volunteer Fire Department, Ansonia Rescue Medical Service, Beacon Hose Company #1, Bethany Fire Department Ambulance Corps, Bethlehem Ambulance, Derby Storm Engine Ambulance & Rescue Corps, Middlebury Volunteer Fire Department Ambulance, Naugatuck Ambulance, Oxford Ambulance, Roxbury Ambulance, Seymour Ambulance, Wolcott Ambulance, Woodbury Ambulance, Valley Emergency Medical Service, CMED, Waterbury Police Department, and Middlebury Police Department. 

Northwest Telecommunicators Local #5146 is part of the Uniformed Professional Firefighters Association of Connecticut (UPFFA) and International Association of Firefighters (IAFF). Both have been major driving forces behind changes in emergency services in both Connecticut and the Nation.
